Welcome to PackemWMS —
Let’s get your warehouse live.
We’ll guide you through every phase at a pace that fits your operation. Here’s everything you need to know — and what we’ll need from you — before we start.
What to have ready
The smoother your kickoff call, the faster you go live. Please have these items gathered before we meet — it makes a huge difference in getting your system configured quickly.
Warehouse Layout
A list of your locations, zones, aisles, and bins. Even a rough sketch or spreadsheet helps us configure your location structure right away.
RequiredProduct / SKU List
Export your product catalog as CSV or Excel — include SKU, description, weight, and dimensions if available. We’ll import this directly.
RequiredCarrier Credentials
Login credentials or API keys for FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL — whichever carriers you use. We’ll connect them securely during setup.
RequiredSales Channel Access
Admin access to Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon Seller Central, or any other store. We’ll set up the order sync integration together.
If applicableClient List (3PL)
For 3PL warehouses: a list of your clients, their products, and any custom billing rates or special agreements already in place.
3PL onlyHardware Info
Make note of any barcode scanners, label printers (ZPL/thermal), and scale equipment you plan to use. Model numbers are helpful.
Nice to haveYour onboarding, phase by phase
Each phase has a level of effort rating — how much work is involved scales directly with your inventory size, number of clients, and integrations. Smaller operations often complete onboarding in 2 sessions; larger 3PLs typically take 4.
Warehouse Configuration
Locations, zones, packaging types, user accounts, and receiving workflows. Effort scales with how many locations and SKUs you have.
Carrier & Client Setup
Connect your carriers and configure 3PL client portals. Effort increases with the number of clients and custom shipping rules needed.
Order Integrations
Sync your sales channels so orders flow in automatically. Effort depends on how many platforms you connect and the complexity of your SKU mapping.
Pick, Pack & Ship
Train your team on daily fulfillment workflows and process your first live shipments. Effort is consistent regardless of size — this is hands-on time with your team.
Billing Configuration
Set up invoicing for your 3PL clients. Effort scales with the number of clients and how customized your billing rate structures are.
Go Live & Ongoing Support
Production handoff, full access to resources, and a dedicated team behind you every step of the way.
Typical onboarding is 3–6 weeks
Not because it’s complicated — but because each phase involves your team reviewing imports, testing workflows, and confirming everything looks right before we move on. The actual guided setup sessions range from 2 sessions for smaller operations to 4 sessions for larger 3PLs with multiple clients and integrations. The biggest variable? Your inventory size and number of sales channels.
| Level of Effort | What drives it | Typical sessions | Overall timeline |
|---|---|---|---|
| ● Low | Small SKU catalog, 1–2 sales channels, no EDI | 2 sessions | ~3 weeks |
| ●● Medium | Mid-size inventory, multiple channels, a few 3PL clients | 3 sessions | 3–4 weeks |
| ●●● High | Large catalog, many clients, EDI/SPS Commerce, custom billing | 4 sessions | 4–6 weeks |
| 🗓 Timeline reflects the full cycle including your team’s review time between sessions — not just hours on a call. | |||
